EDUC 6357 - Creating Art

For this week's blog post, I decided that since I'm not great with writing poems or songs, my best bet would be to artistically express the many modes of diversity within the world.  Although many individuals experience biases, stereotypes, prejudices, and other traumas related to their diversity, it is imperative to remember that diversity is what makes us unique; without it, wouldn't life be boring?

  1. And express your thoughts you did! Great Job Rebekah in getting your point across as to the many biases we encounter daily but need to heed President Jimmy Carter's words to acknowledge our differences and make this world a beautiful mosaic (mixture of all abilities, sexual orientations, genders, religions, races, and ethnicities).

  2. Beki,

Thats an awesome picture. There are so many different ways to express and describe diversity. It is very saddening that there are so many biases and stereotypes in our world and how it negatively affects a child's development, learning and identity. Our world is full of an array of diversity and we need to merge it all together for equality, respect and acceptance.
